Set up 7 Days to Die automatic restarts with warning messages: a scheduled task warns players at 10, 5, 2 and 1 minute, saves the world, restarts the server and performs a backup.
The Backup and Restart with Messages task does all of this for you, so nobody is caught out by a restart.

1. Set up 7 Days to Die restarts with warnings (6 hours example)
- Go to the Scheduled Tasks button in your game panel.
- Create a new Scheduled Task and select the Backup and Restart with Messages option.
- Give it a Name of your choice, 6 Hours Restart for example.
- Select the date/hour you want the next restart to happen (Start). See Server time below (*).
- Select Recur Every: 1 Days.
- Select the Repeat task option.
- Select Repeat Every: 6 Hours.
- Select For: 24 Hours.
- Save the task.
In this example your server restarts every 6 hours. Want a different number of hours? Just change Repeat Every from 6 hours to any number of hours of your choice.
Server time (*)
Servers restart based on the machine's local hour, not your own system time. If the restart happens at the wrong hour, check the clock the task uses:
- View the machine's local hour under Server Details › Machine Local Time button.
- If needed, adjust your game panel profile timezone to match the machine's local hour: click your name in the top right corner › My Profile › Timezone.
2. Adjust the restart messages
- Go to the Service Settings button.
- Tick the Edit option on the Scheduled restart messages option, change the messages and press Execute at the end.
