To ban a player and use admin commands on your Terraria server, start it, press the Web Console button and type help. You get every available command, including ban and kick.
The Web Console in your game panel is the Terraria server console. You can run admin commands there without joining the game, so it works even when you are not online.
How to ban and use admin commands on Terraria
- Start the server in the game panel.
- Press the Web Console button and type:
help
With the help command you will be able to see all available admin commands. For banning a player, you use the ban command, for example.
Ban and kick commands
Type console commands without a / in front. The ones you need most for moderation:
playing- shows the list of players, so you can check the exact name.kick <player name>- kicks a player from the server.ban <player name>- bans a player from the server.
Vanilla Terraria has no unban command. To lift a ban, stop the server, open banlist.txt in your server files with the File Manager, delete the player's name and IP address from the list, save and start the server.
