Download Workshop addons to your Garry's Mod server with a Steam Workshop collection: put the collection ID in Start.bat with the game panel's Configuration Editor, start the server and the addons download for you.
How to download Workshop addons to your server
- Create a Steam collection containing all of the mods you would like on your server.
- Get the ID for the collection. You will find it in the URL of the collection webpage (in the Steam client, right-click the collection page and choose Copy Page URL). For example, in http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=264840121 you only need the ID number at the end:
264840121. - Stop your server, then navigate to Configuration Files in your control panel and use the Config Editor (Configuration Editor) option to edit
Start.bat. - Fill in the Workshop Collection ID field with the collection ID you got in step 2, and save.
- Start your server.
Your collection must be public or unlisted, or the server can't read it. Garry's Mod loads a collection through its +host_workshop_collection startup option.
To add or remove addons later, just edit the collection on Steam and restart your server. The ID stays the same.

How do I download Workshop addons to my Garry's Mod server?
Put all the addons in a Steam Workshop collection, copy the collection ID from its URL, enter it in the Workshop Collection ID field of Start.bat under Configuration Files in the game panel, then start your server.
Where do I find my collection ID?
It's the number at the end of the collection's URL, after ?id=. In the Steam client, right-click the collection page and choose Copy Page URL to get it.
My addons don't load. What should I check?
Make sure the collection is public or unlisted, the ID has no extra characters, and you restarted the server after saving. Then open Log Viewer in the game panel to see what the server reports.
