How to install mods for ARK: Survival Ascended on your server: install them with the CurseForge button in the game panel, then create a new custom commandline so the mods are added automatically.
Before you install mods for ARK: Survival Ascended
Do not install cosmetic mods. Cosmetic mods are client side only.
Do not install PC only mods on a crossplay server. Console players can't load them.
Install mods on your ARK: Survival Ascended server
- Press STOP on your server.
- Go to the CurseForge button in your game panel.
- Search for your mods and install them.
- Go to the commandlines button (Commandline Manager) in your game panel and click Custom Commandlines.
- Create a new commandline. If you have one set already, delete it and create a new one.
- The mods are added to the modline automatically: just set the name of the commandline. Use the map name you are using, so it's easier to know which commandline it is.
- Save and select the commandline, then press START.
- Done. Join your server and check your mods are loaded.
Important notes
Do not edit GameUserSettings.ini while installing mods.
If mods are not being added to the custom commandline, it means GameUserSettings.ini has been modified. The mods then need to be uninstalled fully and installed again.
