This guide will help you on the difference between Raid configurations.
- Raid 1 - You get 50% less HDD space, so instead of 4TB you would get 2TB as 1 HDD is used as parity (full backup) in case the other HDD fails. Also, hampers performance slightly.
- Raid 0 - You get 4TB (If OS Supports that partition size) and you get 40% increased I/O Speed but if 1 drive fails all drives fail and you loose all data, if using this option you should have a backup system in place or manually backup daily etc.
- No Raid - In this case you get 2 separate 2TB Drives (C:\ and D:) but no speed improvements and no backup.
