How to retrieve your administrator token

  1. Stop server.
  2. Go to the Actions tab and press the Reset Permissions button.
  3. Start server.

Reset Permissions puts your TeamSpeak server back to its default permissions and creates a new administrator token (TeamSpeak also calls it a privilege key). Redeem that token in your TeamSpeak client to become Server Admin again.

TeamSpeak administrator token questions

How do I retrieve my TeamSpeak administrator token?

Stop the server, go to the Actions tab and press the Reset Permissions button, then start the server again. This creates a new administrator token, but it also deletes all your channels and users and reinstalls your server.

Will I lose my channels when I reset permissions?

Yes. Performing this action deletes all your channels, users, everything, and reinstalls your server. Make a snapshot first with Create Snapshot on the Actions tab if you want a copy to go back to.

What do I do with the administrator token?

Connect to your TeamSpeak server and redeem the token (privilege key) in your TeamSpeak client. Your client then gets Server Admin rights, so you can set up channels and permissions again.
