How to uninstall Steam Workshop mods and maps from your Unturned server: stop the server, open the Steam Workshop button in the game panel and select uninstall.
How to uninstall Steam Workshop mods and maps
- Stop your server: press STOP in the game panel.
- Go to the Steam Workshop button.
- Choose your mod / map and select uninstall.
- Start your server again: press START.
Removing the map your server starts on? Change the starting map first, or the server can't load it. The starting map is set in commands.dat under Configuration Files, as shown in How to install mods and maps from the Workshop.
If you also added the mod's ID to the "File_IDs" list in the workshop file under Configuration Files, remove it there too, or the server downloads the mod again on its next start.
Workshop mod questions
How do I uninstall Steam Workshop mods from my server?
Stop the server, press Steam Workshop in the game panel, choose the mod or map and select uninstall. Then start the server again.
The mod comes back after a restart. Why?
Its ID is probably still in the "File_IDs" list of the workshop file in Configuration Files. Remove the ID there, save and restart the server.
Should I make a backup first?
Yes, it's a good idea. A backup lets you go back to your current setup if something stops working after you remove a mod or map. See How to back up your game server.
