Use Valheim admin commands on your dedicated server
- Start your server and join it.
- Once inside your server, press the F2 key to open the player list.
- Find your player name on the list and copy the player ID.
- Press STOP to stop your server.
- In the game panel, go to the Configuration Files button, edit the
adminlist.txtfile and add a new admin by placing your player ID in it (one ID per line). - In Steam, right-click Valheim and select Properties. In the General tab, add the
-consolecommand in the Launch Options field. - Start your server and join it. Press the F5 key to open the console and type
HELPfor all available commands.
Common Valheim admin commands
Type these in the F5 console once you are an admin:
kick [name/ip/userID]- kicks the player from the serverban [name/ip/userID]- bans the playerunban [name/ip/userID]- removes the banbanned- shows the list of banned playerssave- saves the world

The F5 console doesn't open. What now?
Check that -console is in the Launch Options field of Valheim's Properties in Steam, then restart the game. If commands are refused, check that your player ID in adminlist.txt is exactly the one from the F2 player list, and that you stopped the server before editing the file.
