Install Steam Workshop scenarios such as Reforged Eden 2 on your Empyrion dedicated server with the Workshop Scenario Downloader in the game panel, then select the scenario in settings.yaml.
For this example we are going to use Reforged Eden: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3143225812. On Steam this Workshop item is now called Reforged Eden 2 Beta. The steps are the same for any Workshop scenario.
How to install a Workshop scenario on your Empyrion dedicated server
- Stop your server.
- Click the Workshop Scenario Downloader button in your game panel.
- Type the Mod ID in the Workshop Mod ID field. In this case the ID is
3143225812(see below how to get the Mod ID for other scenarios). - Type the Mod Name in the Mod Name field. In this case the name is
Reforged_Eden. Try to replace spaces with_and avoid special characters. - Go to Configuration Files, edit the
settings.yamlfile, select the Reforged Galaxy scenario and change the World name to generate a new world. Click here to view the help image. - Start your server.
A new World name generates a new world with the scenario. Your old world is not loaded while the new name is set.
How to find the Mod ID
The Mod ID is listed at the end of each Workshop page address. For example, for Reforged Eden, https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3143225812, the Mod ID is 3143225812.

How do I set up Reforged Eden 2 on my Empyrion dedicated server?
Stop the server, open the Workshop Scenario Downloader in the game panel, enter the Mod ID 3143225812 and a Mod Name such as Reforged_Eden. Then select the scenario in settings.yaml under Configuration Files, change the World name to generate a new world and start the server.
Why do I need a new World name?
A scenario only applies to a newly generated world. Changing the World name in settings.yaml makes the server generate a new world with the scenario you selected.
What should I type as the Mod Name?
Use the scenario's name with spaces replaced by _ and no special characters, for example Reforged_Eden.
