How to change the world modifiers on your Valheim dedicated game server

You can change the world modifiers on your Valheim server in two different ways, directly on our game panel or using admin commands. Below, we will cover both.

CHANGE THE WORLD MODIFIERS ON THE GAME PANEL

1. Stop your server
2. Go to the Configuration Files button and edit the Start.bat file
3. Select the world you want to load on server start and apply the modifiers from the Load world dropdown field
4. Select between Presets or Customize on the World modifiers dropdown field and adjust the settings the way you want
5. Start your server

If you select a preset from the Presets option, it will overwrite any custom settings you defined on the Customized option

CHANGE THE WORLD MODIFIERS WITH ADMIN COMMANDS

1. Add yourself as an admin following this guide: How to use admin commands on your Valheim dedicated game server
2. Join the server and open the admin console with the [F5] key
3. Type devcommands to give you access to all commands
4. Then as an example type setkey PlayerDamage 100 or setkey NoMap to increase the player damage to 100 or disable the map

The console automatically shows and fills in the available commands, but you can check the Valheim Wiki for all the available modifiers: World Modifiers Wiki
