Guide to Enabling or Disabling PvP on Your ARK: Survival Evolved Server

This tutorial provides instructions on how to toggle Player vs. Player (PvP) mode on your ARK: Survival Evolved server.

ENABLE PvP:

  1. Shut down the server.
  2. Navigate to the Configuration Files and select the Game.ini file to edit using the Configuration Editor.
  3. Set both 'bDisableFriendlyFire' and 'bAutoPvETimer' to False, then save the changes.
  4. Again, go to the Configuration Files and this time select the GameUserSettings.ini file to edit with the Configuration Editor.
  5. Change 'serverPVE' to False and save the file.
  6. Finally, restart the server.

DISABLE PvP:

  1. Halt the server operations.
  2. Access the Configuration Files and choose the Game.ini file. Make your changes via the Configuration Editor.
  3. Modify 'bDisableFriendlyFire' and 'bAutoPvETimer' to True, then save your alterations.
  4. Revisit the Configuration Files and pick the GameUserSettings.ini file for editing using the Configuration Editor.
  5. Set 'serverPVE' to True and preserve your changes.
  6. To conclude, restart the server.
