This guide will help you on how to enable Crossplay PC-CONSOLE (XBox/PS4/PS5) on your Space Engineers dedicated server.

 

Please read this before enabling Crossplay on your server!

 

 

  • CROSSPLAY DOES NOT SUPPORT ALL WORLDS

If you enable crossplay and your server does not start, check the Web Console button, if you see this error message, means your world it's not compatible and you need to generate a new one or wiping your existing one. You need to use a Scenario that has the [CONSOLE] word on the title.

Thread: 1 -> Exception while loading world: World contains too many planet types and could not be loaded.

 

 

  • CROSSPLAY DOES NOT SUPPORT STEAM WORKSHOP MODS

If you have Workshop mods installed on your server, Crossplay will not support them, you need to uninstall all mods, or generate a new world without mods.

 

 

  • CROSSPLAY SERVER DO NOT QUERY ON STEAM

Soon you enable Crossplay your server will not query on Steam, you can check if your server started successfully on Web Console button, it will say the following message.

Thread: 1 -> Game ready... Press Ctrl+C to exit

 

 

  • TORCH NOW SUPPORTED ON CROSSPLAY

  • CROSSPLAY WILL SHOW YOUR SERVER ON A DIFFERENT LIST

Once you enable Crossplay, your server will not be visible on the normal list, you need to switch to EOS server list inside Space Engineers to see your server, check the image below.
