Install Conan Exiles custom maps on your server: add the map mod with the Steam Workshop button, then put the map's name in the map field of Engine.ini and start the server.
Custom maps for Conan Exiles come as Steam Workshop mods. Once the mod is on your server, you only need to tell the server which map to load.
How to install Conan Exiles custom maps
- Press STOP to stop your server.
- Install the custom map you want to use via the Steam Workshop button in the game panel. It works the same way as any other mod: see How to install mods for your Conan Exiles server.
- Go to the Configuration Files button, edit
Engine.iniand change the map field to the name of your custom map (for exampleSavage_Wilds). Save the file. - Press START to start your server.
Find the exact map name
The map field needs the exact name. To check it, go to file manager\conanexiles\mods: open File Manager, then the conanexiles\mods folder. Look inside the folder with the mod id of your map and get the file name from there.
Copy the name exactly, with the same capital letters and underscores, for example Savage_Wilds. With a wrong name the server can't load your map.

Stop the server, install the map mod with the Steam Workshop button, then in Configuration Files edit Engine.ini and set the map field to the map's name, for example Savage_Wilds. Start the server when you are done.
Where do I find the name of the map?
In File Manager, open the conanexiles\mods folder, then the folder with your map's mod id. The file name inside is the name to use in the map field of Engine.ini.
Do players need the map mod too?
Yes. A custom map is a mod, and players need the same mods, in the same versions, as the server to join it.
