How to make yourself admin on your Minecraft server & white-list players Print

This guide will help you on how to become admin on your server & white-list players.

• Stop your server in your control panel
• Click on the configuration files button
• Click on the text editor button for the file you wish to add players to (ops.txt or white-list.txt)
• Add players to the file in rows using their IN GAME name then click save (press the enter key after entering each in-game name)
• Start your server
• If your server fails to boot check the web console button.  It may say something like "delete the ops.txt file then restart the server
• Delete the file(s) the web console is reporting and then restart your server. Your server should then boot up and go online
• If your ops.txt  or white-list.txt has been converted to the new .json format please use the game panels webconsole or ingame admin to add new ops/whitelisted players as below  (auto conversion can only happen once)

• To add players: whitelist add player_name
  To remove players: whitelist remove player_name
  To view the whitelist: whitelist list

  To OP players: /op playername

  To DE-OP players : /deop playername

(Please note use the OPS file if you wish to become admin, then whitelist file if you want to have only whitelisted players be able to join)
