Restore your server from a backup in the GTX game panel: stop the server, open Restore Server, pick the dated backup and the type of restore, then press Execute. Handy after a bad mod, a broken update or a griefed base.
A restore puts your server back to the moment of that backup. Anything that happened after it is replaced. Not sure? Take a fresh backup first (see How to back up your game server) so you can always go back.
How to restore your server from a backup
- Log in to the game panel and open your server.
- Stop the server using the STOP button and wait until it has fully stopped.
- Once you've stopped the server, press the Restore Server button. This loads a new page.
- Select the dated backup file you want to restore.
- Select the type of restore you want to do. If your game shows a confirmation box, tick it.
- Press Execute and wait for the process to finish.
- Press START.
Some games don't have Restore Server support. If yours doesn't, open a ticket and our team will help you get your server back.

How do I restore a backup on my game server?

How far back can I restore?
We normally keep backups for up to 6 months. The Restore Server page lists the dated backups available for your server.
Can I put back files I downloaded myself?
Yes. Stop the server and upload the files over SFTP into the same folders, using your game panel username and password.
