Set up automatic broadcast messages on your ARK Survival Evolved server with a scheduled task in the control panel. This example shows your message to every player every 2 hours, every day.
Broadcasts are handy for repeating your website, Discord or server rules to everyone on your ARK Survival Evolved server hosting.
How to set up automatic broadcast messages on ARK
- Go to the Scheduled Tasks tab in your Control Panel (called Schedule Tasks in older guides).
- Create a new Schedule Task and select the Restart Message option.
- Give it a Name of your choice, 2 Hours Website Broadcast for example.
- Select the date / hour you want the broadcast message to start to show.
- Select Recur Every 1 Days.
- Select the Repeat task option.
- Select Repeat Every 2 hours, if you want the broadcast message to show every 2 hours.
- Select For 24 Hours.
- Select the Script Parameters tab on top and change the broadcast message if you want.
- Save the task.
In this example a broadcast message will show every 2 hours. If you want any other time frames, you just need to change the repeat times.
The task runs on the server's clock. When you create it, the time filled in is the current server hour plus about 10 minutes: compare it with your own clock to pick the right start time.
