How to setup automatic server updates with warning messages on your Palworld dedicated game server Print

This scheduled task will send a warning message at 10 minutes / 5 Minutes / 2 Minutes / 1 Minute, save the world, backup the world and update the server.

 

 

1. SETUP A 12 HOURS UPDATE EXAMPLE

  1. Go to the Scheduled Tasks button in your game panel
  2. Create a new Scheduled Task, select the Steam Update option
  3. Give it a name of your choice, 12 Hours Update for example
  4. Select the date/hour you want to next update will happen(*)
  5. Select Recur Every: 1 Days
  6. Select the Repeat task option
  7. Select Repeat Every: 1 Hours
  8. Select For: 24 Hours
  9. Click on the Advanced Options tab on top
  10. Select the option Update only if a new version is available (this way will restart the server only if an update is available)

 

In this example it will check for updates every 12 hours, if you want any other number of hours, just change the Repeat Every 12 hours to any number of hours of your choice.

 

(*) Servers update hours are based on the machine's local hour, you can view the machine's local hour under Server Details > Machine Local Time button, if needed adjust your game panel profile timezone to match the machine's local hour by clicking on your name on the top right corner > My Profile > Timezone.


2. ADJUST THE UPDATE MESSAGES

  1. Go to the Service Settings button
  2. Tick the Edit option on the Scheduled update messages option, change the messages and press Execute at the end

Palworld broadcast messages are limited to 48 characters.
