Back up your game server in three clicks from the GTX game panel: stop the server, press Backup Server, then start it again. Do it before every big change, such as new mods, a wipe or an update.
How to back up your game server
- Log in to the game panel and open your server.
- Stop your server: press STOP and wait until it has fully stopped.
- Press the Backup Server button and wait for the backup to finish.
- Start your server: press START.
Some games don't have Backup Server button support, or you can find the Backup option within the World Manager button.

Backup questions
How do I back up my game server?
Stop your server in the GTX game panel, press the Backup Server button and wait for it to finish, then start your server again. On some games the Backup option is inside the World Manager button instead.
How long are backups kept?
We normally keep backups for up to 6 months.
Can I download a backup to my computer?
Yes. Use the Backup Manager button in the game panel. Where your game has no Backup Manager, open a support ticket and we'll send you a download link for a backup.
There's no Backup Server or World Manager button. What now?
Some games don't have Backup Server button support. You can still copy your files to your computer over SFTP with your game panel username and password, or open a support ticket and our team will help.
