How to connect to your Palworld dedicated server: search for it by name in the Community Servers list, or type its IP:PORT in the Join Multiplayer Game menu and press Connect.
There are two ways to join your GTX Palworld server. Direct connect works straight away. Searching by name needs the Community Server option switched on first.
Connect to your Palworld dedicated server via Community Servers
- Go to your game panel and stop the server: press STOP.
- Go to Configuration Files, edit the
Start.batfile and make sure the Community Server option is enabled. - Go to Configuration Files, edit the
PalWorldSettings.inifile and give your server a nice, unique name. - Start your server and wait a few minutes for it to go online.
- Open Palworld and go to the Join Multiplayer Game menu.
- Click the Community Servers tab and search for your server name in the search box at the top.
Palworld lists a server as a community server through its -publiclobby launch argument, as described in Pocketpair's server docs. The Community Server option in Start.bat takes care of this for you.
Direct connect with IP:PORT
- Start your server and wait a few minutes for it to go online.
- Open Palworld and go to the Join Multiplayer Game menu.
- Type your server's Connection Info IP:PORT in the box at the bottom and press Connect.
You'll find your IP and port under CONNECTION INFO in the Connection & Controls box of your game panel.

Palworld connection questions
How do I connect to a Palworld dedicated server?
Open Palworld, go to Join Multiplayer Game, type the server's IP:PORT from Connection Info in the box at the bottom and press Connect. Or, with the Community Server option enabled, search for the server's name in the Community Servers tab.
Why can't I find my server in the Community Servers list?
Check that the Community Server option is enabled in Start.bat, that you gave the server a unique name in PalWorldSettings.ini, and that the server has been online for a few minutes. Direct connect with IP:PORT always works while you wait.
