How to access your ARK Survival Evolved server files
- SFTP/FTP connection: you can access your server files using an FTP connection by following this guide. Your SFTP username and password are your game panel username and password. Best for uploading saves, maps and large folders.
- File Manager: alternatively, you can access your server files by pressing the File Manager button on your control panel. Best for quick edits and small uploads, with nothing to install.
Only changing server settings? Use Configuration Files in the control panel: it opens GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini for you. On disk they sit in ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer. Stop your server before you edit them, or ARK may overwrite your changes when it saves.
Blocked file types
The upload of some file extensions like (.DLL / .EXE / .BAT) is forbidden due to security measures. If you need to upload any of those files, just contact our support.

Where are my ARK Survival Evolved server files?
Open File Manager in your GTX control panel, or connect with an SFTP app using your game panel username and password. The ARK config files GameUserSettings.ini and Game.ini are in ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsServer.
Why can't I upload a .dll, .exe or .bat file?
Those file types are blocked for security reasons. If your server really needs one, open a support ticket and our team will help you.
