Change the DayZ login time and logout timer on your server by editing two values in globals.xml: TimeLogin and TimeLogout. Both are 15 seconds by default.
The login time is how long a player waits before spawning in. The logout time is how long a character stays in the world after a player leaves, which stops players from escaping a fight by logging out.
Change the DayZ login time and logout time
- Access the File Manager: stop your server, then open the File Manager in your server's control panel. This is where you manage your server files.
- Locate the globals.xml file: navigate to
server root\mpmissions\dayzOffline.chernarusplus\db\globals.xml. Use the folder structure in the File Manager to find the right location. - Open the globals.xml file: click
globals.xmlto open it in the File Manager's text editor. - Make the changes: look for these lines in the file:
These are the values you want to change.<var name="TimeLogin" type="0" value="15"/> <var name="TimeLogout" type="0" value="15"/> - Adjust the values: replace the existing values (e.g.
"15") with the values you want, in seconds. - Save the changes: click the Save or Apply button in the File Manager's text editor to save the updated
globals.xmlfile, then start your server.
That's it! The new login and logout times apply from the next start.
Running a different map? The mission folder name changes with the map, for example dayzOffline.enoch for Livonia or dayzOffline.nasdara for Nasdara. Open the db\globals.xml inside the mission folder your server uses.
One typo in an XML file can stop the server from reading it. Check the file with the XML Validator button in the game panel before you start the server.
Login and logout time questions
How do I change the DayZ login time?
Stop the server, open mpmissions\dayzOffline.chernarusplus\db\globals.xml in the File Manager, change the value of the TimeLogin line (in seconds), save the file and start the server again.
What are the default DayZ login and logout times?
Both TimeLogin and TimeLogout are 15 seconds in a standard globals.xml.
Can I set different times for login and logout?
Yes. TimeLogin and TimeLogout are separate lines, so you can give each its own value, for example a short login time and a longer logout timer.
