GTXGaming was founded in 2008 by Matthew Griffin, following several years of hands-on experience running and managing online game servers. What began as a personal interest in multiplayer communities quickly became a focus on the technical side of hosting: performance, reliability, and the tools needed to run servers properly.

In the early days, GTXGaming operated on rented dedicated machines, building practical expertise with common server mods and administration tools while running Counter-Strike communities. As demand grew, hosting expanded from personal projects to helping other communities and server owners, initially to offset costs, and soon as a dedicated service.

This led to the launch of GTXGaming.co.uk in 2008 and the move into owned dedicated hardware in a data centre environment. Growth was driven by a simple principle: deliver a hosting platform that works well under load, is easy to manage, and is backed by support that understands the products.

As the customer base expanded, GTXGaming continually reinvested into infrastructure and people, scaling server capacity, improving internal systems, and building a team across engineering, support, operations, stock management, and security.

Today, GTXGaming continues to focus on performance-led game server hosting, operational reliability, and ongoing platform improvement, maintaining the same core approach that drove the business from the start: build it properly, support it properly, and keep raising the standard.
