Duckside Server Hosting: PC & Console Servers
A community server of your own, on the platform your flock plays on. Choose a PC server for Steam, or a console server for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and run it with your own settings and wipe schedule.
For Duckside on Steam. Your PC players join it from the game's community servers. Console players cannot join a PC server.
SteamFor Duckside on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Thanks to console crossplay, players on both consoles share the same server.
PS5 & Xbox Series X|SA persistent world where your community builds nests, stores its loot, raids rival bases and flies into battle, alone or in a flock.
Persistent WorldOfficial servers wipe the map and blueprints every 4 weeks. On your own server, you decide when it is time for a fresh start.
Keep or WipeEdit your settings in the control panel, and use tinyBuild's Server Admin Guide and Server Admin Commands in the game. On console, a button sequence opens the admin panel.
Server AdminstinyBuild gives 50 players as the current maximum per server, on PC and on console. Pick the slots your community needs and change them any time.
Full ServersDuckside has no crossplay between PC and console, so a mixed group needs one server of each. Both servers cost the same and run in the same control panel, and our 24/7 team can help you set them up side by side.
How Many Slots Does My Duckside Server Need?
Pick a slot for every player who will be online at the same time. Every server includes up to 5GB of RAM, and you can add slots whenever your flock grows.
| Slots | Best for | From |
|---|---|---|
| 10 slotsStart Here | Solo players, duos and a small flock | A$15.62/mo |
| 20 slots | A regular group of friends with room for rivals | A$29.76/mo |
| 30 slots | Several flocks sharing one island | A$42.38/mo |
| 40 slots | A busy community server | A$53.44/mo |
| 50 slots | A full server at today's 50 player maximum | A$63.01/mo |
On server size: tinyBuild's official FAQ says the maximum at this time is 50 players per server, so 50 slots covers a full Duckside server today. On memory, tinyBuild does not publish a figure; our own demo server used about 1.7GB while idling, so the included 5GB suits smaller servers, and busy servers may want more. Watch live usage in the control panel and change your slots or memory at any time from your client area.

+The Complete Guide to Duckside Server Hosting in Australia & Worldwide
Everything you need to know before you rent a Duckside server in Australia or any of GTX Gaming's worldwide datacentres, from choosing between the PC and the console server to joining, settings, admins and wipes, slots, pricing and locations.
What Is Duckside Server Hosting?
Duckside server hosting is a managed service that runs a Duckside dedicated server on professional hardware in a datacentre, around the clock, so your island stays online whether or not you are playing. Every GTX Gaming Duckside server includes up to 5GB of RAM, up to 100GB of NVMe storage, daily automatic backups, enterprise DDoS protection and a web control panel that turns jobs like restarting the server, editing its settings or restoring a backup into a few clicks.
People look for it as a Duckside dedicated server, a Duckside game server, a Duckside community server or simply a Duckside server to rent, and they all mean the same thing: a private, always-on home for your own Duckside server, with your settings, your wipe schedule and your players. GTX Gaming is one of the official providers that tinyBuild lists on its Duckside community server pages, for PC and for consoles.
What Is Duckside?
Duckside is a persistent world survival game in which you, and everybody else, play as a duck. It is developed by tinyBuild Riga and published by tinyBuild. The PC version entered Early Access on Steam on 25 September 2024, and the game was released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 3 September 2025, as an Early Access game on PlayStation and a Game Preview on Xbox.
- Survival and crafting: harvest resources and craft weapons and tools on a large island.
- Base building and raiding: build nests for safety and storage, knowing that every structure can be destroyed and every stash of loot raided.
- Flight: glide, hover, accelerate and dive, even while shooting and fighting.
- PvP and PvE: fight rival ducks and hostile humans, alone or in a flock with your friends.
PC or Console: Why There Are Two Duckside Servers
Duckside runs on PC and on consoles, but the two sides do not play together. According to tinyBuild's official Duckside FAQ, Duckside has crossplay between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but not with PC, and there is no cross progression between the PC and console versions. That is why GTX Gaming offers two Duckside servers:
- PC server: for Duckside on Steam. Your PC players join it; console players cannot.
- Console server: for Duckside on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players on both consoles join the same server; PC players cannot.
Both servers have the same slots, the same prices and the same control panel, so the only choice is the platform. If your community plays on both PC and console, rent one server of each.
Why Rent a Duckside Server?
The official servers are shared with everyone, wipe on tinyBuild's schedule, and tinyBuild adjusts how many of them run as player numbers change. A rented Duckside server is yours:
- Always online: the server runs 24 hours a day, so your flock can log in whenever they like, and your base is still there when they do.
- Your rules: your own server name, password, settings and wipe schedule, for your friends or for a public community.
- Proper hardware: high-frequency CPUs and NVMe storage in a datacentre, with DDoS protection at the network edge, so a raid is not decided by lag.
- Backups and support: daily automatic backups and a 24/7 support team mean a mistake is an inconvenience, not a lost island.
Getting Started & Joining Your Duckside Server
Your server is set up the moment you order and starts with its default settings. From there, getting your flock onto the island typically looks like this:
- Order: choose your slots, then the PC or the console server, and your location. Your server is set up instantly.
- Name it: give the server its own name and, if you like, a password in Configuration Files.
- Join: start Duckside on the server's platform, open the list of community servers, find your server by its name and enter the password if you set one.
The server's connection details are shown under Server Details in your control panel, and the Web Console shows the server's own output. On PlayStation 5, online play requires PS Plus.
Settings, Admins & Wipes on a Duckside Server
A community server lets you run Duckside your way. Your server's settings files are in Configuration Files in the control panel, and tinyBuild publishes a Server Admin Guide and a list of Server Admin Commands for community servers, linked from its community server pages:
- Server name and password: make the server easy to find, or keep it to your own flock.
- Admins in the game: on console, tinyBuild explains that you open the admin panel on your own server by pressing LT + RT + A + X on Xbox or L2 + R2 + X + Square on PlayStation 5, in sequence.
- Wipes: tinyBuild's FAQ says the official servers wipe the map and blueprints every 4 weeks. On your own server you decide when to start fresh, and the Backup Manager keeps restore points in case you change your mind.
- Restarts and updates: Scheduled Tasks restart the server on a timer, and Steam Update brings the server up to date after a game update.
If you are moving from another host, our 24/7 team can help you bring your settings over.
How Much Does Duckside Server Hosting Cost in Australia?
Pricing is simple: you pay for the number of slots, the PC server and the console server cost the same, and up to 5GB of RAM and up to 100GB of NVMe storage are included on every server:
- 10 slots: from A$15.62/mo. Solo players, duos and a small flock.
- 20 slots: from A$29.76/mo. A regular group of friends.
- 30 slots: from A$42.38/mo. Several flocks on one island.
- 40 slots: from A$53.44/mo. A busy community server.
- 50 slots: from A$63.01/mo. A full server at today's 50 player maximum.
All plans include instant setup, DDoS protection, daily automatic backups and 24/7 support, with no setup fee and no contract. Billing is monthly by default, with three-month, six-month and yearly cycles available at a discount, and you can change plan or cancel at any time.
How Many Slots Does a Duckside Server Need?
Choose a slot for every player who will be online at the same time. tinyBuild's official FAQ says the maximum at this time is 50 players per server, and the PlayStation and Xbox store pages also list up to 50 online players, so 50 slots covers a full Duckside server today. A group of friends is well served by 10 or 20 slots, and a public community by 30 to 50. On memory, tinyBuild does not publish a figure for the Duckside server. Our own demo server used about 1.7GB while idling, so the up to 5GB included with every server suits smaller servers, while busy servers with many players and bases may want more. The control panel shows live memory use, so you can see exactly what your server needs.
Locations for Duckside Server Hosting
In a firefight in the air every millisecond counts, so host close to your players. GTX Gaming runs Duckside server hosting from an Australian datacentre in Sydney plus 17 more locations worldwide: Tokyo, Singapore and Mumbai in Asia; London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Madrid in Europe; New York, Ashburn, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Los Angeles, Portland and Quebec in North America; plus Moscow. Some locations carry a surcharge, shown at checkout. The PC and the console server are available in every location. Use the live ping test above to find the lowest-latency location for your players, pick it at checkout, and if you need to move later our support team can migrate your server.
